Naturally Plus Taiwan

Founded in Japan in 1999, Naturally Plus, a global healthcare company with the corporate philosophy to “promote wellness and healthy living worldwide”, began building its global footprint by opening a salon in Taiwan in 2004.

Do you know why network marketing is one of the best businesses to be in?

Because "money is not the prime asset in life, time is."

In 2008, Naturally Plus became part of UNIVA Capital Group and that fuelled its global expansion. At present, Naturally Plus has expanded to include 30 bases in 12 countries.

Currently, Naturally Plus Taiwan is working towards becoming a listed company, as well as entering the China market. With that, its company name has changed from 「綠加利股份有限公司」to 「環貫綠佳利股份有限公司」(Univa NP Co., Ltd.).

Since its inception, Naturally Plus Taiwan has been advocating the “3 types of health”, and even expanded on it to include: - “mental and physical health”, - “financial health” and - “societal health”.

Through becoming a listed company, we hope to further expand the circle by having a greater influence, and to support the well-being of even more people all over the world.

Also, it is not a private company owned by individuals; instead, it will be reborn as a public company, where it will strive to create an environment to improve the social status and reputation of network business, so that more people will feel proud to be a member of Naturally Plus.

Basic Japanese

If you're planning to visit Japan, it's a good idea to learn some basic Japanese words and phrases before you go.

In my humble opinion, these would be useful Japanese phrases I would have in mind:

Hello - konnichiwa
Goodbye - Sayonara

Yes - Hai (Japanese seem to acknowledge each sentence you say with "Hai")
No - No

Please - Shite kudasai
Thank you - Arigatogozaimashita (Good luck writing this out! hahaha)

I keep hearing "Sumi masen" (I'm sorry) and "kurewa" (living room)

I have Korean and Japanese friends so sometimes, my brain mixes up the Korean "yea" with the Japanese "hai" @_@

I think I shall try to focus on Japanese first because I have been fascinated with Japanese culture since I was 9 years old.

As the Japanese say: Ganbatte ne! がんばって ね

Autumn in Japan

Do you believe that there is a heaven on earth?

Well, I do especially when I see natural beauty.

Isn't autumn in Japan just spectacular?

I hope that I can visit Japan one day to witness this autumn scene myself ^_^

I would enjoy some shinrin-yoku (forest bathing).

I can just inhale the crisp and clean air - I would do yoga, run or just take a leisurely stroll.

I will definitely take lots and lots and lots of photographs!!!

What are carotenoids?

Carotenoids - any of a class of mainly yellow, orange, or red  fat-soluble pigments, including carotene, which give color to plant parts such as ripe tomatoes and autumn leaves.

According to scientific research, α-Carotene (alpha-carotene), β-Carotene (beta-carotene), β-Cryptoxanthin, Lycopene, Lutein, and Zeaxanthin are the six most important carotenoids for human health.

Supplemental lutein, alone or with zeaxanthin, was found to improve contrast sensitivity and protect against visual fatigue in young and/or healthy individuals.

Carotenoids are best absorbed with fat in a meal.

Chopping, puréeing, and cooking carotenoid-containing vegetables in natural oils (not processed oils) generally increase the bioavailability of the carotenoids they contain.

Dietary lutein and zeaxanthin are selectively taken up into the macula of the eye!

In other words, the macula LOVES lutein and zeaxanthin.

Why consumers choose IZUMIO

The hydrogen boom
Water containing large amounts of hydrogen is called hydrogenized/hydrogenated water. Drinking hydrogenized/hydrogenated water on a daily basis helps to replenish fluids and contributes to healthy ageing.

Oxidation
As we age, our bodies’ redox potential increases and tends towards oxidation. The occurrence of oxidation puts stress on the body. More and more people are concerned about this phenomenon in recent years.

Redox potentials of common liquids
The measure of the power of a substance to oxidise or reduce is its redox potential. The more positive the redox potential, the stronger the oxidising power; the more negative the redox potential, the stronger the reducing power of a substance. Tap water and most of our common beverages such as coffee have positive redox potentials. The redox potential of IZUMIO is negative.

The redox potential of IZUMIO is negative, which means that IZUMIO has reducing power.

Oxidation and reduction
Iron rusts when it combines with oxygen and undergoes oxidation. Naturally-occurring iron ore is the result of oxidation that occurs when iron is exposed to air. At the iron mill, oxygen is separated from the iron ore to obtain iron, through a process called “reduction”.

The reducing power of hydrogen
Any given substance has the power to oxidise or reduce another substance. The measure of the power of a substance to oxidise or reduce is its redox potential.

The redox potential of IZUMIO is a negative value—it has reducing power.
